In 1923, SCOTUS held that US taxpayers do not have standing to sue the government for their taxes being spent in an illegal or unconstitutional manner. SCOTUS said it would violate Separation of Powers if taxpayers could sue to control how taxes were spent.
That's been US law ever since.
You can acknowledge that the Iranian regime is brutal and repressive and at the same time say that it is unconscionably evil to attack Iran with no reason or provocation or approval from Congress. The statements are not contradictory. Both can be true.
