Sure. But ISTM none of our oil comes via there, and the less oil transiting Suez, the more supply there is at our end of the world.
And nonetheless. Hagee is not Fuentes, or Duke. And even if he were, your worldview apparently doesn't account for the fact that virulent antisemites β the ones most known for their antisemitism β hate Israel, and have it featuring in their conspiracy theories.

Please. I'm not talking about people who are incidentally antisemitic, but people whose antisemitism is part of their ideology. Nick Fuentes. David Duke. David Irving. Their conspiratorial view of Jews means/meant hating Israel too. Tucker Carlson. Candace Owens. Etc.
How low can you go.

All hail the Autarch, Severian the Great, whose memory is the cyclopedia of his people!
I'm not a historian, but I do read a lot. I'd have thought the US was unique in that the world previously was not so connected, and no country could have been central for so much. E.g. the Trump admin's attack on science caused more damage than the Nazis' did, because more took place in the US.

You will possibly be amazed to learn that in fact antisemites hate Israel.
sure does, more so by the day
I can believe it. The main thing a Bet Din does AIUI is conversions and divorces. Nobody praises them for getting things right, everyone shouts at them for messing up. Consequently, they hate doing anything, and they work at a glacial pace.
I use a sweet boric acid solution that ants love, but which kills them. I can squirt it into places cats can't reach, and it's not that toxic to them anyway. In your case, you might squirt some *under* the feeder.
Is it not usual to announce commando raids? Seems a bit rude.
When I played Trivial Pursuit games would typically go like this:
I get four pie pieces in a row. We go around the board until the answer to the sports and entertainment questions are embarrassingly obvious, at which point I win.
I felt very pleased that I had actually identified Drake as a singer!
Even someone with a legal background might be amazed how pettifogging the Orthodox rules regarding gittin are - e.g., there's an entire *month* in which some refuse to write them (Iyyar?) because of a dispute about spelling.
Nobody praises a Bet Din for getting gittin right, but get them wrongβ¦

That's a really good point and I suppose it probably does speak to something fundamental.
Gedaliah ben Achikam looks at you sadly.
What, other people don't read &ββ as "ET GO HOME"?
The ceremony is short but FWIU preparing the get is a pain, and (at least here in Melbourne) you may have a Bet Din with Opinions about whether the couple should in fact be divorced.
But in any event, it's enormously harder than conducting a valid marriage; so many anecdotes of accidental cases.
History-like things mentioned in the Talmud are often meant as illustrative examples or whatever, things to test hypotheses against. Did they really think Abraham, let alone Lot, was preparing his Pesach seder when angels arrived? Seems unlikely. But it's an interesting bit of exegesis.
