I thought this was illegal and I thought this was why the Braves guy got fired and banned and now works for a shitty website that used to be an awesome magazine?

Any ideas who's going to swing the wood behind Nimmo?
Yes please!
Wait theres another freaking McCann catcher?
Yikes.
Damn Yankees is an insanely fun read and is one of my top 5 favorite baseball books of all time. But his most recent book was mostly Old Man Yelling At Cloud, and the last chapter on analytics was unreadable.
Maybe if these profession athletes made just a little more money they could go on Amazon and buy themselves some foot warmers.
Sign Austin Hayes. Include Baty in a Skubel or Peralta deal.
We’re closing in on peak 80s Steinbrenner.
99% of free agents are going to go for the money. So you can’t say on one hand that the Mets are cheap and then in the other hand the only reason Soto came to the Mets is for the money.Who cares. The Mets aren’t getting used. Diaz wanted to go to the dodgers and got the money. That’s a bonus for him!
Like when they got played on the Soto deal?
People will continue to call Sterns and Cohen cheap...
Like the same way he lost Soto, right?
That’s a good way to try to get the Wilpon era/pre-Stern Mets involved.
How will they ever field a lineup for tomorrows game?
They best case competed for a 3rd wild card last season with your favorite players so….
I love KISS and have no desire to watch this rubbish.
Tucker is an average fielder at best.
Hoping to cross Peterson off the list next!
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Mets team go into an offseason with a such a specific plan and actually execute that plan to the Tee.
I cannot believe any team in the history of the sport has won without Pete.
Another thing...the idea that the Mets whiffed on Murakami is false. They scouted him last year and they obviously did not want to sign him. Similarly the Mets didn't make an offer to Alonso because they knew he was gonna get more than what they were comfortable with giving a 1 dimensional player.
Sterns is not going to sign 1 dimensional players to 3+ year contracts. It is something people are going to have to get used to. He's going to build his teams using more versatile players on short term contracts.
I cannot believe that someone would support David Sterns’s plan instead of a guy who calls himself Mets Chief on BlueSky. Must be some strong kool aid.
Why? Maybe they don’t think his tools will translate in the states.
It’s a bit revealing that the smart teams kinda stayed away from him. Says something about his hit tool or lack thereof.
This regime really doesn’t panic.
He obviously wants to clear the QO for a big payday next year.
Donald? Is that you?
That should tell you to maybe question yourself a bit...
I’m worried about Chief.
