Please know your book is excellent, Jared. More people deserve to read it and more time and enthusiasm is deserved in the promotion of it. Someone failing to recognize their own limitations doesn’t mean your art is any less important - your art will continue to matter to a lot of people.

Hard agree. They’re under such pressure to be perfect that they’re terrified to experiment and get things wrong. They’ve been told their GPA matters more than their individual creativity.

No idea how to chime in on the ELJ conversation without saying the wrong thing but yep, this totally fucking blows. After all my darling book has been through, this latest turn of events is pretty galling.
