So relieved but we still need to keep them in the spotlight to ensure they get the best care. They will still be vulnerable to opportunistic infections, and refeeding syndrome (eating after prolonged starvation)can be fatal 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
With due respect, they are not out of the woods yet. Refeeding syndrome is serious & can be fatal, as can an opportunistic infection secondary to starvation. We need to keep them in the spotlight and hoping for their health and campaigning for them then have good medical treatment.
I'm crying with relief. However, they are not out of the woods yet. We need assurance that they will be managed in this recovery phase to prevent refeeding syndrome and any opportunist infections. Keep praying/campaigning/keep them in the spotlight guys. 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️

Just got back from the #NCASC24 (Social services conference). Great to hear hope & realism. Still looming workforce issues but more commitment to removing the companies who are profiteering from childhood trauma. Liverpool lovely as usual 🌹
