I love Heated Rivalry and I will never move on from OFMD. Both things can be true 🫶

sad, but I totally agree with you that we built something so beautiful and it's ours in a way that Heated Rivalry could never be (since it basically belongs to everybody) 4/4

than OFMD's. The fact that Heated Rivalry is focused on people who are young and conventionally attractive helps too. I love OFMD so much and I know its viewership was huge, but in some ways it was too niche and special to have the level of success Heated Rivalry is having now. And that makes me 3/

whereas OFMD is this oddball story, a queer story, a more diverse story with an ensemble cast. In Heated Rivalry, no one's toes are getting cut off. I'd be interested to see the metrics, but while I know many many gay/queer people love Heated Rivalry, I suspect their viewership skews straighter 2/

I've been thinking a lot about the differences between the two. I love Heated Rivalry and I'm definitely deeply involved with it at the moment. It's a gorgeous story, full stop. That said, it's a more conventional story than OFMD is: romance, being closeted/coming out—beats we're familiar with 1/
