Today, in a brazen assault on the health and welfare of the American public, the Trump administration announced its rule revoking the Environmental Protection Agency’s longstanding greenhouse gas endangerment finding under the federal Clean Air Act.

Trump's DOT is in the process of rolling back vehicle fuel economy standards, so cars can burn even more petroleum.
He is right - they're in the oil business.

Ferguson proposing $3 billion in bonds for highways and vehicle ferries and then proposing to divert hundreds of millions in Climate Commitment Act dollars a few days later is such an incredible one-two punch.

In NY, 8% of the state is considered a disadvantaged community by statute. Those places contain 50% of the warehouses.
Rules to reduce pollution from warehouses and the truck traffic they generate are an important EJ priority. And lots of states and locales are starting to take notice.

Trucks Cause the Lion’s Share of Road Damage—and Their Industry Wants You to Keep Paying for It
There is no reason for US taxpayers to foot the bill for a trillion-dollar per year industry.
In his latest blog, my colleague @ucsdave.bsky.social clarifies how much the trucking industry damages our roadways, and how the public subsidizes them by around $88 billion a year to do so (not to mention over $170 billion/year in health and climate costs)

A megabill mystery: New solar and wind tax comes as a surprise to Republican senators
"I don't know where it came from," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., the chairman of the Budget Committee, told NBC News after he released the 940-page legislation.
"Republican senators insist they don't know how or why the tax was inserted into the bill they're rushing to pass. No senator is taking credit for or defending it. And at least one wants it removed." www.nbcnews.com/politics/con... by @frankthorp.bsky.social and @sahilkapur.bsky.social 🔌💡
