We Don't Need More Highway Lanes. We Need Public Transit Colorado has spent fifty years widening highways. Let’s try something that will actually work. In 2026, Colorado will decide how to spend tens of billions

Opinion | "We built a transportation system that requires everyone to drive everywhere for everything. And now, our endless-lane model is collapsing under the weight of its own inefficiency. "

Trump's DOT is in the process of rolling back vehicle fuel economy standards, so cars can burn even more petroleum.

He is right - they're in the oil business.

In NY, 8% of the state is considered a disadvantaged community by statute. Those places contain 50% of the warehouses.

Rules to reduce pollution from warehouses and the truck traffic they generate are an important EJ priority. And lots of states and locales are starting to take notice.

Trucks Cause the Lion’s Share of Road Damage—and Their Industry Wants You to Keep Paying for It There is no reason for US taxpayers to foot the bill for a trillion-dollar per year industry.

In his latest blog, my colleague @ucsdave.bsky.social clarifies how much the trucking industry damages our roadways, and how the public subsidizes them by around $88 billion a year to do so (not to mention over $170 billion/year in health and climate costs)

Now is the moment for California state legislators to fight smoggy skies and protect our health. SB 34 is a bill that would cost California taxpayers millions while tying the hands of local control for clean air.

TAKE ACTION: Tell California legislators that they shouldn’t give ports a license to pollute. They must vote #NoOnSB34
