historia de las islas e indios de bisayas by Francisco Ignacio Alcina has random anecdotes in the day to day life of the bisaya people, and they're almost always hilarious/ morbid. In one section there is a story about how there were elephants grazing alongside cows near a river, and a crocodile came out the river and attacked a cow. A nearby elephant calmly walked to the crocodile, stomped it to death, then calmly walked back to its trainer as if nothing happened. Another account is about an asog- an indigenous gender similar to modern trans fem or nonbinary. Apparently she never spoke, and refused to date men and women- they wore a mix of the dress of men and women, and danced like a woman and wove with the women. The Spaniards asked the natives what on earth their gender was, and the natives were like "yeah she's a gender that we used to have before you guys came along" and when asked again, the natives literally just replied. "Don't worry about it." LMAO. Then there was a chapter in book three where a woman fought her ex girlfriend and literally KlLLED HER because the ex girlfriend left her for a man. Yes bisaya have always been gay, but we've also always been insane
