Wow.
Wow.
I noticed that too! I couldnโt have named the episode, though.
Delightful flash fiction. ( #Knitting *is* magic!)

If you are preparing for the winter storm and think you might lose power, donโt forget to also do these things:
โ Charge up your e-reader and battery backups
โ Stock up on physical books (save the e-reader for when it is dark out. And remember, the library is free.)

Post graphic. Title text in purple all-caps reads: Books I Hope to Find Under the Tree. Below, a sketch shows a green dragon with yellow belly and wings and purple spines along its backbone, reclining on a purple rug, reading an open book. To the right of the dragon is a stack of books. In the left foreground, and particularly out of the frame, a decorated Christmas tree stands surrounded by wrapped and beribboned gifts. At the very bottom right, in a small font, is the name of the blog: The Bookwyrmโs Hoard.
Are you hoping for books this holiday season? (Silly question ; of course you are.) #TopTenTuesday

TEXT: Books On My Winter 2025-2026 TBR List (by The Bookwyrmโs Hoard.) PHOTO: A book lies open on a beige knitted afghan atop a chair or window seat. A large pillow, also covered in a beige knitted throw, leans against the wall and window on the right. Just beyond the chair, a large picture window looks out into a snowy backyard.
Whatโs on your TBR this winter?

It appears as though SFWA has had a very quick change of heart and is now back on the right side of this. Shouldn't have happened in the first place. New Nebula Awards eligibility rules for generated text are now:

Monthly wrap-up, The Bookwyrmโs Hoard. Description: Against a tan background, the sketch of a green dragon with yellow belly and wings, reclining on a purple rug. Purple triangular spikes run from the center of the dragons forehead down its spine to the tip of itโs tail. The dragon is turning the pages of an open book. Stacks of books surround it. Above the dragon, a headline reads โMonthly Wrap-Upโ in large purple letters, all caps. Below the sketch, in small purple letters, are the copyright symbol, followed byโThe Bookwyrmโs Hoard.โ

One of the challenges for transmasc people is that shirts and sleeves may be too long. If thatโs part of the difficulty, you could check out Under 5โ10โ (under510.com), which carries clothes for short guys. Itโs online rather than brick-and-mortar, though.
Does anyone else think the elf on the shelf is a bit creepy? Clearly the current generation of parents never learned a critical lesson: Never invite the Fae into the house.

So true. I was a theater kid and majored in theater. I read to my kid, complete with accents, voices, and interpretation. And this is why I will *never* knowingly purchase, borrow, or read an AI-narrated book. #audiobooks
A color sketch of a pumpkin or gourd superimposed over a collection of fall leaves and vines, against a pale yellow-green background. Orange text in cursive script reads โHappy Thanksgiving.โ
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. May your turkey be delicious, your companions convivial, and your day filled with warmth and peace.
Book cover: The Keeper of Magical Things, by Julie Leong. The US cover art shows a tall, slender young woman with a platinum-blonde braid standing beside a shorter, plumper young woman with short brown hair. Both are wearing long robes in shades of pink and peach, and the blonde has a grey cloak over her shoulders with the hood down. The women are standing in the open gap of a wooden fence festooned with vines. They are turned slightly toward each other. An open wooden chest lies on the grass, which is dotted with lupins and other pink and purple wildflowers. Beyond the opening in the fence, a bucolic rural landscape of farms, fields, and a small cluster of houses stretches toward the hills, bathed in the glow of a sunset beyond the mountains. A small black cat with bat wings hovers above the women.
A lovely, warm, cozy sapphic fantasy about kindness, community, and learning to be your true self.
Given how much I enjoyed Leong's The Teller of Small Fortunes, I had high hopes for The Keeper of Magical Things, and I was not disappointed! 5 stars.

Kudos on the great ad: humor, clarity, honesty, and persuasiveness. (At least for this logophile.) Iโm seriously considering itโฆ but also wondering (in view of Robert MacFarlaneโs The Lost Words) which older words were dropped. (Maybe none? None would be good.) #dictionary #merriamwebster
I absolutely loved this sci-if/#urbanfantasy series, especially the latest (not final) installment! (Although tbh I have a few minor reservations about the Graphic Audio editions... love the voices, could do without a few of the voiced sound effects.) bookwyrmshoard.com/book-reviews... #bookreview

Having lived there, I can say that Montgomery County MD is, by and large, pretty liberal. I suspect you would see different results in, say, a rural county in Tennessee or Utah.
An absolutely gorgeous book. I am due for a rereadโฆ or rather, a relisten.
It is! Wrap-ups are a great source for book discovery, too.
Chefโs kiss, @merriam-webster.com !
Iโm so happy for you, and for all the children who will be introduced to wonderful books and the joys of reading!
