Hell, let's ignore the right wing dog whistles... this film just looks BAD. There was only a single joke that was funny in the trailer ("Why only half-gay?") and it has a "Meet the Spartans" feel of "we just throw everything at the screen and pray it sticks"

And Dan is such a sane, rational, collected human being... that he blocks me after I point out that he is treating someone with Tourettes like they are a mindless infant.

John isn't 'a car'. He is the driver. And more than that... in this metaphor he knows the brakes are bad. He can't fix the brakes but he should do what he can to mitigate and then, if an accident happens, apologize.
