Met zojuist de uitslagen van Amsterdam toegevoegd, staat D66 ongeveer 15.000 stemmen voor op de PVV in de tussenstand met 99,7% van de stemmen geteld. Ik kan me niet indenken dat dit verschil nog overbrugd wordt met de laatste uitslagen. Dat betekent dat D66 de grootste partij is in stemmenaantal.

I missed Rachid (Azrout) earlier, but just rewinded. Another awesome colleague (and not so long ago, teacher!) on the main election broadcast. So lucky to work with these people! Again regardless of the elections results, forever impressed by my amazing colleagues!

I was also thinking about the exit polls: who are the folks that vote latest? Because they're not captured in the exit polls...
ELECTIONS!
My favourite thing about NL elections (cos lets be honest its never the result that is my favourite the last years) is seeing colleagues doing their thing! e.g. @sldelange.bsky.social @tomwgvdmeer.bsky.social on the live broadcast, also all the colleagues I know are behind the scenes!
Deffo, I mean, even for your #1 party, it's not like people are reading the manifestos (unless they are very special, or professionally obligated like us)... It's complicated, haha!
This is true of course, but if people are 'used' to a certain system, changing in such a way suddenly would in my guess, be less helpful? I guess then it is about the short vs long term benefits of course, in the short term it would be detrimental, in the long term perhaps less so.
It's important tho that ppl still feel voting for a smaller party has a point, else those parts of the electorate won't vote, and will become increasingly disillusioned. Not that I have the answer, but maybe it's time to start (seriously) thinking about how we do this?
At least at the moment there is the possibility of voting for a party that you feel better represents you/your interests entering as a (counter-)voice.
But voters of those parties do not feel represented by the others. I get your point but I think this would backfire into more non voters and more disillusion with politics. At least in my circle, there are already many non voters because there is no one for them to vote for....
