Today we met a sheep giving serious and impressive underworld vibes

It is a common misconception that cats bring you dead prey as a "gift". In fact, cats teach their offspring to catch prey by progressively taking them through levels of challenge. First, they bring kittens dead prey to play with, then harmed by alive, and all the way to live pray which they caught but didn't harm. So the only reason humans get repeated dead prey is because we never seem to progress from this learning step. Sorry, it's a bit morbid but utterly fascinating (to me, anyway).
