Hard at work on developing the antagonist of my second thriller. Moments ago, I came up with a name for the killer, and now it's about fleshing out his past.
Today, my focus lies in crafting a fictional persona's past, revealing their development.

Possibly the only queer, transgender woman crime thriller writer in Canada. I completed my debut novel, THE PROFILER'S SHADOW. It is set to be released in November 2026 through Dark Winter Press. ๐ซchasers ๐ซterfs ๐ซmagasses ๐ซtransphobes

Remembering the December 6th, 1989 femicide at Montreal's รcole Polytechnique. Take action on violence against women.
Inspiration came from many sources, but I'd say that I wanted to see a book that represented who I am, that spoke to what I find importantโalso, a middle finger to hatred and bigotry. Next book is about a zealot and conversion therapy. The third one is the firecracker in the munitions depot. :)
I came to writing late in life, after many decades as a painterโlong story. I have been writing since 2019. It has taken me about four years to write my debut thriller, 'The Profiler's Shadow'. Sequel is half done and a third in the works.
Hi Rianne, thank you. It is, and as the only Canadian trans woman author of such novels, it's a blast. I just signed with DarkWinter Press, and they have been so very nice. Coming out in November 2026.
Today I signed a book contract with DarkWinter Press for my psychological crime thriller 'The Profiler's Shadow'.
My protagonist is a profiler who is brilliant at getting inside a killer's head. But what happens when the killer is already inside hers?
This coming November (just a couple of weeks away), I will enter the last stretch of seeing my debut thriller published through Dark Winter Press.
It's going to be a wild ride, but I am determined to make 'THE PROFILER's Shadow' the number one queer psychological crime thriller in Canada.
Thank you so much. ๐๐ฅฐ

Changed my debut psychological crime thriller's title to 'THE PROFILER'S SHADOW'.
I have a publisher for my debut psychological queer crime thriller. I'd be even happier if a literary agent would step in to represent me.

ANNOUNCEMENT!
Dark Winter Press will release my debut thriller, The Rainbow Killer, in November 2026.
No, my debut novel, THE RAINBOW KILLER, is slated for October 2026 through Dark Winter Press. This second one is still in its first draft, with a third one sloshing around in my head. :)
This is my second dark, psychological thriller with the same heroine, Mary Dubois. In addition to it being its own story, it's a sequel that has her looking back.
Tagline for my second dark psychological thriller, THE ZEALOT:
A chilling descent into the heart of religious extremism, where faith becomes a weapon and the past refuses to stay buried.
I am super happy to announce that Dark Winter Press, a Canadian publisher, liked The Rainbow Killer and wants to publish it.
Now, I need to clean up the manuscript and polish it in the coming months. The book is expected to be published by October 2026.
Am I the only transgender woman psychological thriller writer in all of Canada?

I attended two panels yesterday and enjoyed them. I'm really looking forward to today, when I get to sit in on two or maybe three talks (if I have the energy).
