The problem is, if he has another good, not insane year, he will get more AAV and maybe more years in free agency. They probably will try for same AAV and less years, but will that be enough?

If you are talking about when we first got him and he wasn’t able to lift in the offseason because of injuries (back I believe), then you are correct. However, he still pitched well last year with some games having lower velocity. But yes, it’s a risk.
