The money leaves a paper trail, the sex abuse doesn’t. Any police force that arrests someone of this profile has to be sure they’ll get a conviction otherwise heads will roll. Sex abuse cases are notoriously difficult in that regard…
They also have to focus on what they can absolutely prove. Imagine the kerfuffle if they arrested him and then couldn’t prove their case in court. There’d be accusations of bias and we’d never see another powerful person arrested ever again.
