Now I had no hand in writing Katana ZERO's story, this was just a "this could be a cool thing" that went nowhere as I pitched the design.
Secondly- while I had like zero contact with the actual KZ musicians, I did once suggest something like "Godot's theme + rain ambience"...

Waaaaay back when KZ had a lot less story planned out and I pitched the initial design for the rival swordsman type- but there was also very brief idea for him being a figment of Zero's mind trying to beat him into not overdosing on chronos leading to bad things.

Still surprised and humbled how much traction the early design got, getting his own side of the fandom making art and such! 🙏

Pose is a bit plain but I think I was more focused on artstyle experimentation. I've only drawn him as a lower detail sketch before so I was just aiming to get more detail in this time. Hopefully the next time I draw him it'll be more dyamic??
I feel like I should do more fanart from time to time, but I can never decide what would be good. Then I realize I should at least draw art for some of the projects I've helped work on in the past 👍
