All airlines have to play this in-depth video (or read script if no IFE) from Australian Border Force explaining biosecurity laws on all inbound flights prior to landing telling people to declare items if in doubt, so it helps to pay attention and follow instructions..

Always seems to be an automatic linkage in conversations about immigration with non-white people when in fact NZ, UK & North-West Europe make up decent chunk of new arrivals. This should be highlighted to soften this linkage - Q’s posed to those chanting “send them back” if it’s all or certain races

i find this image so fascinating. it is both a literal example of authoritarianism but also a second-hand reproduction of the aesthetics of other authoritarian states. it's like a simulacra of authoritarianism whose purpose is to attempt to make the simulacra real.

Academics raise alarm over suspected AI use in Deloitte report The university staff members say there were numerous citation errors in the report on the automation of welfare penalties.

Is this what the AI era is going to be like?

A big four consultancy (Deloitte) does a major report for govt then says "oh we just got the names, dates and publishers" of many of the works cited WRONG. No biggie.
