Yeah, let's be honest, those airport seats are so bad for so many people. I absolutely suck it up and try to get to a place where my metal hips don't complain.
And it's another short thread @wingsndnsilver.bsky.social with tonight's inventory selection, a cuff set with cabochons that match today's featured necklace and earring pairs:
Don't be smug, Benne. Not all of us live in/come from countries that make sense.
Fascinating to see how this turns out. ๐๐
Wow, I fixed that autocorrect once and it STILL got me. Damn. Saavik. Obviously. ๐ซ
OMG Mike. ๐
Well, once you swim in the tail of the distribution, Slavic. ๐๐
I feel like the Uma Thurman break up made it harder for folks.
Kevin, this doesn't even make sense, his words.
no, it's really such a narrow range that is considered "normal" for design purposes (clothes too, I imagine). Everything that has been industrially designed/engineered.
Oh god, just recently we were at a B&B that had a huge tub and I was like - I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I COULD DO THIS. (It was an actual Jacuzzi brand bathtub)
1) Amazing
2) I'm so sorry for them, because the world is extremely not built for 6'8"
3) Excellent tail of the distribution, they would be VERY popular in romance novels ;>
Inappropriate side quest - We once went to an off broadway play that started with Ethan Hawke fake asleep on a couch for the whole time the theatre filled, with his naked butt hanging out on stage.
*high five great choices*
Genes are so wild.
(You guys fed him good ;>)
I love this for you. ๐๐ (I actually didn't realize women's heights tend to be a quite narrow distribution? with just over 5.3" being average, which I would have not guessed)
Blue eyes are weird. I recently required a re-education about eye color because... All four grandparents? Hazel eyes. My husband and I? Hazel eyes. Both kids?
Blue eyes.
We kept waiting for them to change. (Nope)
I don't know who they build stuff for but... Not us.
(I love sitting through a play with my back against the chair, and my kneecaps pressed into the seat in front of me. Very comfortable, very relaxing.)
It is definitely a huge problem. The infantalization of shorter/smaller people (especially women) is huge. I absolutely have an advantage in my career with my height. Being in a relatively male dominated field and area? for sure.
A tall and statistically unlikely astrobot ;>
I mean DEFINITELY diminishing odds, is all I'm saying.
Now, if you were in the Netherlands? Fine, those people are actual towers.
my husband is... 5'5"?
People are constantly shocked. Like, there is not actually a requirement that our spouses be taller than we are. ๐ Anyway, he moves a lot, hard to pin down how tall he is.
Sounds fake, have you checked the gaussian.
Oh man, I'm so sorry. I'm 5'9" with long legs, and just... sitting... anywhere.
Umhm. Are we going to 7 11 and keeping our eyes peeled at the crime height door?
To be fair, I'm 5'9" which is like.. the 98.5% for women so I'm throwing stones in a glass house. ๐
6'3" is the 99th percentile!! The math is letting you down, author friends.
Where are our short kings?!?
Also, straight men who can... use their bodies and feel feelings?
Every romance I've read lately has men up here at 6'2"+
Y'all. Men are not that tall. Statistically. Also, the health problems? I just can not.
