- increasing budget deficits
- plus un-budgeted war costs
- dependency on foreigners buying treasuries
- pissing on the shoes of allies (and China) who normally buy that debt
- boomer retirees drawdown of SocSec increasing.

Not that we need something else to worry about, but I think we are at that point where the US Government builds Skynet. Forcing out Anthropic because they wouldn’t allow AI mass surveillance of US citizens and autonomous weapons systems with their software. Tells me those are the goals.
