Why did antisemitism rise in Germany during the Covid pandemic? And why was this increase concentrated among political centrists, rather than on the fringes?

I am hiring a post-doctoral fellow (2 years) to work on all things political finance in Africa. There are no teaching obligations, and lots of opportunities for fieldwork. A PhD in Political Science is a requirement. Please spread the word! Happy to answer questions - send them to my LSE email.
Congratulations again, Dr Zinober, on an excellent dissertation!
A week has passed since I successfully defended my dissertation at @eui-sps.bsky.social, and I still feel extremely proud of the skills I have learned and the research I have produced.
So this happened a little while ago. I'm very grateful to the judges from the @psaireland.bsky.social and to @kevcunningham.bsky.social for generous financial support of the prize. It was great to be in Galway a few weeks ago to collect the award at the PSAI annual conference.

Good morning. A coda (from me) on this replication business.
While I understand the impulse, it is disheartening that most of the discussion generated by this replication is about the replication "process" -- both the APSR's process and my own process.
What could we be talking about instead?
I have now read the response by Turnbull-Dugarte and LΓ³pez Ortega again with a clearer eye.
Multiple claims in this response are untrue or seek to obscure the truth.
My interest has always been the accuracy of the scientific record, so I feel compelled to note some of these claims here.

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, they can be considered only if they have external funding (www.eui.eu/en/services/...), or if they are eligible in a Member state (for example, if they did their master's there - some MS are willing to fund such candidates). I wish there were more options.
If you know anyone considering doing a PhD in political science or sociology, encourage them to apply to the EUI PhD program and join the institute's landmark 50th cohort of PhD researchers in the SPS Department! Applications from Central and Eastern Europe are particularly welcome!
We have reached peak "NATO expansion propaganda". Jeffrey Sachs claims he was personally told by someone he didn't meet that there was a broken promise to a person who says it wasn't made.
Better get your paper submissions in for the @epssnet.bsky.social conference in June 2026, as the deadline is 7 November, and we have no intention of extended that (given the submission numbers)!

Sheffield Hallam University appeased China Govt to protect its income from Chinese student enrollment.
It shut down research into forced labour and human rights abuses, intimidated academics, suppressed academic papers.

Nano-targeting is not a persuasive weapon: it is a dissuasion and polarization weapon. New paper out osf.io/preprints/so... with the brilliant Thomas Robinson, @simonhix.bsky.social and @fresejoris.bsky.social β the first to quantify the perverse incentives/inherent democratic dangers of this tech.
Abstract of the article "Awakening the sleeping giant: rising Euroscepticism and turnout in European Parliament elections" by Filip Kostelka and Eva Krejcova. Published online first in West European Politics.
Figure 1, displaying voter turnout in EP elections between 1979 and 2024.
Figure 2, displaying Euroscepticism in national elections between 1974 and 2024.
Figure 3, displaying predicted turnout at different levels of euroscepticism in national parliament.
What explains the rising turnout in recent EP elections?
@filipkostelka.bsky.social & @evakrejcova.bsky.social find that it's the strength of Eurosceptic parties at the national level. The more seats they hold in national parliament, the more mobilizing the EP election is
