Nah, that's just how they always are. That account is so delightfully unhinged. (And the person who runs it is super strategic in doing so. He's incredibly thoughtful about how he runs it.)

The only good reboots are those that completely rethink the entire series, like Star Trek: TNG or Battleship Galatica. Which this is absolutely not going to be.

I thought Firefly was okay when I watched it, but suspect it aged poorly considering this and many other criticisms I've read. I agree with someone below - how about some new stuff instead? There's so much great SF out there that's so much more interesting.

Toad went back into the house. He got into bed and pulled the covers over his head again.

Two kids in the deadly cold, and you *have helped.* A little while ago, you enabled this family to get shelter before another rainstorm hit. Nothing but transformative.

people are always like β€œwhat link do i give to?!”

one giant pile of money is actually not a great way to help people. people choosing a variety of places to give helps keep the money moving. no one org gets flooded to the point of breaking.

a PTA, the mutual aid venmo, can move $ even faster.

CHARLES RAFFERTY
The Problem with Early Warnings

People don't like to leave a party unless the house is actually on fire. Even then, if the flames are far enough away to be pretty, they'll finish their drink, take one more pass at the hors d'oeuvres.
How things happen has always been unclear. Hurricanes begin in a place where no one lives.
Agents of the government start to wear masks. Fascism is a word my neighbors won't use yet. They are following
the law, they say, and the sirens are coming for someone else.

I think my favorite part of this tweet is the idea that an ENTIRE STATE of OVER 8 MILLION PEOPLE should elect its leaders solely to satisfy the approximately FIVE THOUSAND PEOPLE who work for GOP Congressional offices.

Tell me a more on-brand message than making 99.94% of the people cater to 0.06%.
