Millions of Americans own the rights to oil and gas underground.
Other states like #CO, #KS, #MI, #NV, #OK, #WV and #WY have taken action to restrict the costs that can be deducted from mineral owners’s checks.

The program solved some concerns but it has failed to address what mineral owners say is their biggest concern: transparency about deductions.
