You had Catholic bishops musing about denying communion to Biden for 12 years and panel after panel on Sunday mornings about how Catholic democrats were apostates.

Barely a peep on this from the usual suspects.

Helpful friendly courteous kind and cheerful are all social orientations about how to treat people that the red hats loling at snuff videos on Facebook of course don’t value at all.

I suspect a lot of people who do a ton of work to keep troops and packs running in blue and purple communities are on the spectrum of disgusted to livid and recruiting is going to take a nosedive

I really don’t know how much pushback it is but I cannot imagine the meltdowns we’d be seeing if the shoe was on the other foot and Obama had canceled a shooting sports badge or something like that. There would be a revolt.

This will absolutely fall under “youth protection” and all it’ll take is one email or call from a maga parent or adult or a youth to bring down an entire troop’s leadership if you try to just ignore this and fly under the radar. The troops are all local but national can PNG you w/ little process

I’m a troop committee chair & former cubmaster. reading this - beyond merit badge program being dictated by DoD which is awful - the thing to understand is that adult leaders have to be registered. If you are caught not complying with youth protection policy you’ll be kicked out & banned from events

I’m a unit committee chair and former cubmaster and Eagle and when national decides to take an interest in adult membership they drop the hammer for non compliance.

This is going to be very enforceable if councils go along with it. All it’ll take is one maga parent sending an email.

The merit badge program is national though. And I can see national coming down on an adult who breaks policy. They can revoke your membership and ban you from attending your own kid’s Eagle COH.

Just totally sickened by how Scouting sold out. What a disgrace.
