I think it's less the moth itself, which in the pulled-back shot of it wings-spread looks very cool. I think it's specifically that shot of it raw-dogging a cyber worm (?) like some do Subway Meatball subs. Then hard cutting from that to little baby wigglies.
I think Marathon - in terms of its audio / visual presentation - is outstanding. Bold move to put a disgusting moth and larvae in the loading screen lol
