UK primary class sizes among biggest in industrialised world, report finds Only Chile exceeds UK’s 27 pupils a class in OECD study, with UK pupil-teacher ratio also among highest

"UK primary class sizes are among the biggest in the industrialised world, larger than Mexico, Turkey and Colombia - OECD"

Is it finally time that we can get past the daft idea that class size DOESN'T impact the quality of education?

I'm a secondary maths teacher and I say the primary curriculum is too full of maths.

There should be far more space to explore more broadly. We have plenty of time to cover enough maths if students arrive knowing the basics really well.

Just posted new blog on Bluesky and not (yet) on Twitter. Be interesting to see engagement. Will I fold and put it on Twitter too? Please help me avoid the temptation by reposting here!

An immensely important article about recognising effort, appreciating hard work and acknowledging that outcomes shouldn't always be measured in the same way.

Nizrana Farook has done it again with this beautifully written, fast paced story. Selvi and Lokka will undoubtably captivate the hearts of my Y4/5s with their friendship. An adventure from start to finish. πŸ† #kidslit #primaryedusky #reading #primaryenglish #KS2 #readingjourney
