As far as I know, Superman: New Krypton Saga Omnibus will be three volumes. There are roughly 2,000 pages of story left to go!
(The Amazon blurb's always been incorrect, listing issues that aren't collected in volume 1.)
And hey, everyone! Superman: NK Saga Vol 1 is half off right now!

MAGA Senator Crumbles While Defending ICE Shooting on Live TV
The senator was tongue-tied over his own defense of an immigration agent.
Daily Beast, Jan. 26: βDuring an appearance on CNNβs State of the Union, the Oklahoma Republican rallied behind ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who fired three shots into a vehicle in Minneapolis, killing 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good.β www.thedailybeast.com/markwayne-mu...

Noem out, Trump picks Mullin as DHS secretary
The South Dakota Republican was the public face of the Trump administrationβs immigration crackdown
So, Noem is out and a guy without a college degree and any relevant experience but who was briefly an MMA fighter is now director of Homeland Security
No law enforcement, security, immigration or intelligence experience
No experience managing a large organization
Just a MAGA dude with a temper

Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and itβs good sheβs gone.
But this doesnβt change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.

The He-Man creator Rodger Sweet dementia situation really has me bummed. No one involved in creating a billion dollar franchise should be suffering from medical debt. Its one if many stories like it, but with the current gutting of the entertainment arts it cuts deeper.

When we talk about Baby Boomers not getting off the stage: In 1997, the US president was born in 1946.
In 2007, the US president was born in 1946.
In 2017, the US president was born in 1946.
And next year in 2027? The US president will have been born in 1946.

The Dell paperback cover art to A Wrinkle in Time and A Wind in the Door.
Hey, it's my birthday! Yes, AGAIN!
Last year I asked you to show me your favorite comic panels.
This year, I'm asking you -- as a gift to me -- to post your favorite book cover art!
I'll start!
Mine's a twofer, as I LOVE the paperback artwork to A Wrinkle in Time and A Wind in the Door!

Going to be a bit basic with these two, as they have very similar vibes, but I give you the wrapround paperback edition of Gene Wolfe's Shadow Of The Torturer and Clive Barker's Weaveworld.

The original artwork for Isaac Asimovβs book Robots and Empire, art by Michael Whalen. Robots Daneel Olivaw (you can just see a little mechanical piece in the gap in the lower back of his shirt, but otherwise appears human) and Giskard Reventelov (the obviously mechanical being) are shaking hands. In the story, this is when they basically tell each other that they would die in the otherβs place if necessary.
Happy Birthday!
I love Michael Whelanβs art on Isaac Asimovβs books, but Robots and Empire in particular gets to me, because itβs portraying a specific emotional moment in the book (despite being two robots who ostensibly have no emotions).

Close up of the hardcover jacket cover art from The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower. It features a cowboy holding a gun and a rose at the base of a tower.
Variation on the cover art from The Gunslinger, it features a cowboy and a raven standing in front of a tower.
A cowboy standing in front of an open door with a tower in the distance.
I'm a big fan of Michael Whelan's work for King's Dark Tower series. From the original cover and plates for the Gunslinger and then the cover & key art for the finale.
(The Dave McKean stuff for Wizard & Glass was great too but I can't find clean clear art for the originals.)
Also, Happy Birthday!

The front cover to Dragonlance Chronicles Volume 1: Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.
The art (painted by Larry Elmore) features three individuals facing the viewer: a bearded man with a bow, a woman with a blue crystal staff, and a mustachioed man in armor with a sword and shield. There is a poignancy to their expressions. In the background lurks a large red dragon.
The front book cover of De Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The artwork (by an unknown artist) shows a number of simply drawn Dwarves, all nearly identical with their grey beards and hooded robes -- the only differentiation is the color of their clothing.
They're all looking at a figure in the center who wears a green cloak with a pointed hood over his head. His bare feet stick out, and he is smiling and waving. This, presumably, is de Hobbit.
Happy birthday!
My favorites embody the two ends of the fantasy art spectrum.

Dragons of Autumn Twilight cover by Matt Stawicki, featuring Flint Fireforge, Tanis Half-Elven, and Goldmoon
Dragons of Winter Night cover by Matt Stawicki featuring Sturm Brightblade, Laurana Kanan, and Tasslehoff Burrfoot facing off against blue dragons
Dragons of Spring Dawning cover by Matt Stawicki featuring Kitiara Uth-Matar as well as Raistlin and Caramon Majere before the Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas
Happy birthday!
I really love the 2000 rerelease covers of the Dragonlance Chronicles with art by Matt Stawicki. He used really bold, saturated color when a lot of fantasy covers were less so, and it really made them pop
