A Message to Tiger Lily, Daughters of a Winter Night, Leap of Faith, Cancer in the Time of Covid, Escala’s Wish.
Despite Escala's Wish being a long book, I really enjoyed it. Don't think I've read any Fae book before, must have been living under a rock! Cancer in the Time of Covid was also not what you would expect. #booksky

5 books - The Trauma Machine, Off-World, Misunderstanding, Sophie's World, Death Avenue.
I have started the year well with the outstanding read of the month being Sophie's World.

Yes, don't need to extend my vocabulary with the vernacular; peace is enough.

I've just finished Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde which is only short and does not appear on your Goodreads list. Gulliver's Travels is good, especially parts 3 & 4. More modern you could try Rebecca by Daphne de Maurier, or if you want a real challenge Midnight's Children.

Four books including Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, Extraterrestrial Noir, Fatal Hope and Mist & Flame.
Not keen on StoryGraph's wrap-up of the year, as I believe it highlights the wrong things, but the monthly wrap-up is useful. #booksky

This book is fantastic, another gothic book topical at the moment is Wuthering Heights, if you have not already read it.

What do you think of Storygraph compared to Goodreads? Especially now GR are stopping direct messaging (yes!).

6 books read, Hard Times was the highest rated
I don't think I got much sleep last month. Trying to remove some lower-rated books from my kindle.

My husband will be pleased with the red; he's originally from Withenshawe. Not a football fan, so I don't understand the black and white.

The cats been renamed Fleurdini.
Usually put them out at night and then my husband lets them in before bed. She must have been hiding and woke me up with a wet nose and fleury headbutt at 3.30 in the morning.
