19.) Fallout
War. War never changes.
While I totally understand why people enjoy this and presumably love 2 as well, it does show its age. Maybe if I had tried fix it more, i'dda had a better time. But its still good, and its atmospheric as hell.
fuck that overseer bastard

18.) The Idolm@ster
Are You Ready? Changin' My World!
You'd think that an anime juggling 12 idols would struggle with making them all feel important, but Idolm@ster shows why it was an innovator in the field of idol anime and idol games. I get why it was so big back then.

17.) Iron Man (Anime)
wolverine jumpscare
This sure is Iron Man! While I had issues with the way Wolverine was portrayed and the plot's direction over there, Tony's doing great here. Even has a cool bit with Yinsen being P2 Iron Man. Just a good time.
[C]
16.) Highschool Of The Dead
After my emotions come spilling out, what will I see?
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is just perfect bmovie zombie cheese, serious enough to sell what's going on but its so ridiculous at the very same time. Just a great experience.
also lord them tits
[B]
15.) Hakuouki - Demon of the Fleeting Blossom
Oh Heavenly Wind, blow the leaves of time.
this sure is an otome anime, unfortunately I am not the target audience. Lads were pretty though, I get it.
also shoutouts to the show ending on what's practically a bad end tbh
[D]
14.) Ookami-san and Her Seven Companions
All of us have some parts of ourselves that we keep hidden right?
Fairy Tales are real and they can and will get into shenanigans
Was a cute time.
[C]
13.) Arakawa Under The Bridge
It's 5 minutes before we meet.
Now this, this fits the kind of style Shaft is known for. Even got its sweet moments.
And amusingly, pairs Hiroshi Kamiya and Maaya Sakamoto together before the latter actively stars as Shinobu in Monogatari.
Heh.

12.) And Yet The Town Moves
Let's Go Downtown!
Maid gets into antics with her buddies, that's really summing this up. I don't feel it gets out there enough to match Shaft's style? But it was fine enough.
[D]
Keeping that in my pocket next time I need to write it I suppose.
Average japanese kink experience
11.) Majestic Prince: Genetic Awakening
I vow to the sky that never fades.
this is a sentai ass movie and i mean that in the best of ways
orange just going ham on a fight that in ways is recycling the best fight from the series itself but with movie level violence
good time
[C]
10.) Majestic Prince 25 - Wings to the Future
honestly i don't have that much to say its basically a prelude to the movie
cute new people
but it aint much
[D]
9.) Kamen Rider Vram: Route Stomach
Kept alive only by afterimages...
What if, Vram didn't turn good? What if Nyelv tried to play his ass?
20 minutes dedicated to just that, a bitter dessert about revenge, and the clever mind of the one who lives only to fulfill it.
[A]
8.) A Certain Scientific Accelerator
everything reflects the darkness
Pointless? Yes!
Still kinda fun? Also yes!
Science and Magic in the same arc is a rarity among the animated index content, good stuff all around.
Shame accel's underutilized and there's a pointless twist

7.) BALL x PIT
Also known as Breakout Survivors
yeah this is actually pretty neat, combining breakout with the survivors style roguelike formula works well.
I'm not sure I'm too on board with the town aspect, but the characters add such spice.
Looking forward to updates!
[C]
Why not a combination?
Also total mood i have that but for stories on my way to work
6.) Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time
Bye-bye, All of Evangelion
Rebuild is a fucking mess, so the final movie actually managing to land is amazing. It's a bit too long in spots, and it suffers from the sins of the 3rd movie, but it does land snugly.
Mari still sucks.

Consider the following:
The Bat Family Mansion
Just everyone in the sdm all bat fam'd.
5.) Oddworld: Abe's Odyssee
Hello!
Iconic puzzle platformer was hidden in my steam library, and I absolutely get why it's so beloved. It's got such a suffocating vibe that gradually gets turned on its head as you learn the ins and outs. Also, Abe's adorable.
Bit jank though.

4.) A Certain Magical Index 3
Believe Me and Believe You
Everything feels rushed, fights don't feel cool, and also we have way way way way way way way too many characters in some of these arcs. Maybe I'll give the LNs a read sometime.
[D]
Always important to know your friends want your junk.
3.) Jotun
You have impressed the gods!
Mainly a boss game, but also an incredible scenic exploration of parts of norse mythos. I actually wish there was more than just the bosses that are in, because it would be a great time.
Maybe skip the hard mode tho.
[B]
2.) Cuphead - Delicious Last Course
Cuphead, Mugman and Chalice made a deal.
It's more Cuphead, but its also much more complex Cuphead, each boss putting you through your paces. It felt good to go back to this after I completed the main game a while back. Still hard!

1.) Jet Set Radio
Flip the raps, lift the trap.
Iconic JSR may be in many ways, but by goodness is it stiff. Yet once you really get used to it, once you see the world turn into opportunities to skate around and trick, it has a good amount of freedom. Vibes are on point, aesthetic is unmatched.

Media Thread, Media Thread! Let's try one of those this year, why not?
I need every gear girl like this sooner rather than later tbh
