To be fair, I'm trying to be inflammatory.
I think people are very bad at making logically consistent arguments.

People will cry about anything and everything all of the time.
The best tip I have for anyone is to just never listen to anything posted online. Especially about children's card games.

Also, Pablo and Hamilton didn't have.... Pablos and Hamiltons back when they first started playing. They learned by playing with everyone, just like you.
You probably play against them on talishar all the time. Pros use a new alt account basically every week to hide tech and such.
Also, I think saying "unless your in the .001% of best players in the worlds, you don't deserve to play at PT," is also not great.

Silver age is probably a format of every set after Everfest (FaB's equivalent to MtG "Modern")
So CC format with no cards only printed in WtR, ARC, MON, ToA, or EVR, and would start with Uprising. (Hence making Iyslander the face.)
I imagine cards reprinted later, like Scar4Scar, are legal though.
