Pedestrian Safety advocating led to safe schools/school nutrition which led to municipal politics/community building/complete streets/community land trusts which all helped create TheEtobicokeVoice.substack.com and https://thismomroars.substack.com/

Etobicoke Is Growing & Our Crosswalks Haven’t Kept Up Feb 25 2026

theetobicokevoice.substack.com/p/etobicoke-...

Enough is enough, no one should be scared of crossing roads but with more & more congestion plus distracted drivers, it's hard to feel safe. This report coming to council suggests upgrading many to proper traffic lights and I'm all for it! #TOpoli

No one ran a strong campaign against him in 2022 and in 2018 he only won by a very narrow margin against his fellow incumbent. Then the other side of the coin is very few people in the ward vote for municipal because they don't feel there are options. A strong, organized alternative is what's needed

The Student Nutrition program really upsets people in his ward when they hear he is AGAINST funding it and its obvious to me that not only do we need fresh blood in Etobicoke Centre, but at the core of it, we need a rep who has compassion for all residents.

Former Texas Lege reporter here. A Dem hasn't held this seat since 1990. Tarrant is the safest of red suburban counties. There is no way the TX and national GOP aren't in panic mode right now.

Saint Paul schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday to prepare for optional online learning.

I’ve seen schools close for snow, for pandemic, for natural disaster. I’ve never seen schools close because of threat from our own government.

Toronto recorded fewest traffic-related deaths in a decade in 2025: city data | CBC News Numbers show 39 people died on Toronto's roads last year, half as many as when the city launched its road safety plan a decade ago. But some wonder if the number will go back up with speed cameras now...

"Jess S, a road safety advocate w/ @ffsafestreets.bsky.social, said she’s worried traffic safety around schools, where most cameras were installed, could suffer in 2026.“You're putting children at risk. I cannot wrap my mind around any rationale for something like that" 1/ www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Armed men going door to door demanding your papers is textbook fascism.

The federal government of the United States has been temporarily occupied by a fascist insurgency and they must be removed.
