Biochemistry, a bit of Greco-Roman wrestling, then an unsuccessful attempt of being a good person in bad state-adjacent institutions.
I saw some old photos from a beach: my very regular-sized grandma looked TINY in comparison.
My cool hack is writing down known requirements up front in simple, consistent and specific wording, making an implementation plan that allows for thin vertical slice delivery over a series of steps and human-in-the-loop validation, and including the plan in the working branch.
Surely multiplying a few big matrices must be innocuous and have zero misuse potential
(looks into applications of dimensionality reduction and history of psychometrics)
Oh no
It's good though. I'm pretty certain that gesture drawings and elevator pitches have something in common cognitively on very high level.
Saw an odd take this morning that software engineering is about coding (and therefore AI doom!). Instead it is mainly arguing about specifications. At every step. Repeatedly. Sometimes with humans.
Oh and also processes but I am not enough of a perv to talk about that in public.

adsbexchange map with a helicopter doing loops over Minneapolis. Smooth loops over central parts of the city, and a more wiggly loop over Uptown/LynLake.
tbh kinda rude
Yikes, that puts a wrinkle in my Balcony Maximization goals :(
...I could have been buying yerba mate at Bill's Imported Foods all this time instead of ordering it on the internet like a dumbass. I dread to imagine what other startling things I'll end up learning next.
Staving off existential dread via horchata cold brew.
I really like how the ventilation holes line up, it's such a nice touch

Excellent question! Short steep uphill situations - extremely comfortable (instantaneous shifting). Longer uphill situations - I tended to get outpaced by bikers with external drivetrains.
That said: I used Nexus 8 on a nonelectric commuter and found its range a bit lacking (but it also was the most reliable part of the bike).
For cargo bike, esp. electric, I'd lean internal. No derailleurs, very little maintenance (maybe oil bath every few years), generally very robust, and shifting is instantaneous.
Wow that was fast
Sunflower Galaxy (Messier 63) is in the center of the photograph. There are some diffraction spikes on the brighter surrounding stars.
Good weather for #astrophotography last weekend. I needed to test some adjustments to my usual setup and ran a small imaging plan on Sunflower Galaxy.

@kat-astro-bot.bsky.social, what do you see?
On one hand, I do not want to contribute to a pileup; on other hand "Verge doing disaster tourism blogging for clicks" was not on my bingo card, so to speak.
I was thinking of goal-driven management folks at Windscale, but that incident too!
Always glad to help!
I started Legends of the Warring States. Initial impression: wow being an executive consultant in 4th century BCE really sucked.
Figma is fine, but Iโve seen people do early stage mockups in basically anything that can draw a bunch of boxes (pen&paper, PowerPoint, lucidchart) - as long as it helps to get idea out in front of users and start conversation and acquire feedback
Partial counterpoint: GenAI as a broadly available consumer product has been a disaster, GenAI as a technology has a lot of positive potential as long as it is used in niche applications by technologists with relevant niche domain expertise

Pizza Luce is matching donations to Pillsbury United Communities through 22nd, which is pretty neat (also the current seasonal pizza is very good)
I think this hypothesis requires further testing (we need a gay, non-criminal president with opportunity for crimes)
Thank you for the strong philanthropic effort
