Here it is after a day of wear. 13 hours on my lids? I did use the tiniest bit of primer before I applied the colour, but I would call this a pretty good wear test. I like this eyeshadow. A+.

Ok, Thoop Troop! Time to go shopping. Tomorrow is Soupvent day 12, and this is what I got for it. If you’d like to play along, you need all of this too! Can you guess what kind of soup we’re making without looking at the ingredients page?

Murder tunnel!

This is actually really pretty! The formula is also really creamy, pigmented, blends easily, doesn’t go on patchy. This is totally a win! I know green won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s not the typical brown/burgundy/grey you normally get in a calendar. I’ll use this for sure!

This morning’s Coffee Across Canada is Infusio’s Hazelnut! It’s kinda nutty. Also pretty coffee-y. It’s a subtle flavour. I don’t love nutty coffee, so I give this a B.

My mom tastes the nuts and gives it an A-. My dad also can’t find much nutty flavour and gives it a B+.

Today we have a spiky friend! I think this one is smaller than the last one…

oh, tomorrow I will be joining you in the fetal position. lol. this was my boom, tomorrow will be my bust.

I'll never get a full-time job in academia ever again. I have "no skills" because I spend so much of my time doing "not real work" like teaching and pedagogy and trying to get people to agree to partnerships. So now: unemployable, except as a PT prof doing contract courses.

Random productivity despite brain-weasels.

Today I did: laundry, set up whatever art I could fit on existing surfaces in my apartment and put the rest away, graded 2 writing assignments and turned them into blog posts, graded 48 quizzes, applied to teach a summer course, made coffee AND breakfast, and now I wonder why I'm so tired. Oh yes.

I agree! Writing for fun is important, too…a lot of students “lost” the interest in writing when things started to get more technically-demanding in high school, & have never found their mojo back. That makes me sad. Write about things that interest you! Put a bit of work into it while you’re at it

I thank you for your support of my little random project this semester. I wasn't sure if it would work, let alone work well, and the students seem to be enjoying it. Mission accomplished!

I like this! I will definitely use it. The formula is pretty nice. Slippy, kinda sticky, no scent or flavour, and a really light wash of colour that’s pretty close to my lip colour. Are we kinda 5 for 5 so far of me liking things, even if the colour isn’t quite right?! Badcolor is pretty darn good!

I wish I had that for sitting on the couch. Lol.

As soon as I took off the lid I was like “hold on a second!” This actually isn’t liquid lipstick! It’s a tinted lip gloss, with only the slightest of tints. I’ve gone from hating it to really liking it in about 3.2 seconds.

It is a bit chocolatey. I get chocolate. It’s good. I give it a B+.

My mom says she likes it, and gives it an A-. My dad says “tasty chocolate” and gives it an A-.

Tiny Plantvent, day 13!

Today’s plant is another of the biggest wee plants: a Fleur!

It’s time to serve! Scoop into bowls. Now add cheese. The recipe says to add cheese into the soup and allow to melt, but my mom and I have a very different definition of what “enough” cheese is (her: a handful, me: 2 bags)

Broccoli Cheddar Soup! Bone apple tea.

Add 2 cups of cream! Bring that to a low simmer, simmer 5 mins.

It’s time for your potato masher! Time to blend this soup.

HOLD ON A HOT MINUTE. Did I buy myself an immersion blender for my birthday? Yes. Yes I did. And it was on sale.

Blend that bitch.
