Tussocks of fur dress skin stretched over taut muscle. Upright they stand, but they look ready to drop onto fours. Their snout snarls and their ears twitch. They bark, and their hyena tribeskin answer.

Shot ink decorates the dulla on their long neck in one of the thousand patterns of the camelfolk. Their ears are arrayed with gilded rings, and eyelashes flow down their face like watervine fronds. Across their back, a hump of moistured and healthy fat pushes their center of mass skyward.

A warm smile spreads over an old face freckled by time and a million crumbs of salt. He shrinks under a hunched back and drums the ground beneath him with a short and barb-crowned tail. A second pair of arms rise over the slump of his shoulders, where hands meet and fingers lace to form another face, this one vacant and prehistoric, no mouth and eyes desert-white.

Big Yrame shifts her weight between hind and forelegs. She shakes a storm of rust dander from the tines of her great horns, and she blows a halo of freezing air from her rime-veined hands.

I've been playing a lot of Caves of Qud lately and wanted to attempt some character portraits, using both sprites and descriptions for inspiration. More to come soon...
