You're probably right.
Before the water fiasco, i expected Redman to run again.
If not, who is running?

Of course, she could also be waiting for Doug Ford to appoint her to be Chair.
I'm assuming she is until i hear.otherwise.
Of course, chances are reduced considering the water fiasco.
If not, her intentions should be announced early enough that candidates to succeed her can build teams and raise money to run competitive campaigns over such a large area.
Who is running against Karen Redman to be the next chair of Waterloo Region?

Anderson Cooper: βSo it's more expensive to have a chronically homeless person living on the streets than it is to actually subsidize an apartment for them?β
Answer: βYes, weβre paying more as taxpayers to walk past that person on the street and do nothing.β #HousingFirst #UrbanTruth
PM Carney has forgotten the story of the crocodile.
The appeaser supports feeding others to the crocodile in the hope that the crocodile will eat them last.
We are watching horrific violence in the Middle East.
Canada cannot stand with the crocodiles.

Carney: Canada supports the United Statesβ¦
Canada: no, we fucking do not.
The first is that the Liberal government screwed the pooch on immigration; this is now a fairly consensus opinion β and one weβve talked about at some length here at The Line. Itβs no particular mystery to us why the longstanding pan-partisan consensus on immigration is breaking. In short, weβve taken on far too many, especially temporary foreign workers and questionable international βstudents,β without any real plan for how to improve basic infrastructure or social services to compensate. The problem, here, is a real one. And all of the provinces β not just Alberta β are struggling to keep up. That acknowledged, it is nothing short of appalling for a government to blame immigration for its own fiscal mismanagement especially when that same government has been welcoming and even demanding that immigration until all of five seconds ago.
I'm getting very tired of this framing. The only reason there is "consensus" that the Liberals screwed up immigration is because we are allergic to holding any premier to account for a) demanding more immigration; b) doing fuck all about housing and healthcare; and c) let scam colleges run amok. 1/

βI am happy to live in a country where there is free and equal access to healthcare for everyone. Where insurance and wealth do not determine whether you receive proper treatment. The same approach exists in Greenland. Happy Sunday to you allβ

Screenshot of a CNN segment shared by Acyn. A split-screen shows commentator Lydia Moynihan on the left and Kevin OβLeary on the right during a heated exchange. The chyron reads, βObama: Dems need to avoid scolding and βvirtue-signaling.ββ The post quotes OβLeary referencing China and concentration camps, and McGowan responding about West Virginia.
I spent my childhood inside of American concentration camps. I know one when I see one. And that is what ICE is building.
Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. Itβs always a matter of will not resources.
The CBC made this clever & cute video that uses kids to explain the rules of curling:
My tweet from Twitter: Please protect all the trans people in your lives in Canada right now.
The most blatantly corrupt gangster government in American history. Where are congressional Republicans on this stuff? Nowhere to be found. Vote them ALL out.
βA screenshot of a post from the account Acyn featuring a video of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). The text of the post quotes AOC speaking about the humanitarian crisis in Cuba, drawing parallels to Gaza. βShe describes a "new era of depravity" where innocent civilians are starved or deprived because their political regimes are found "objectionable." She emphasizes the need to defend human rights, mentioning the risk of hospitals running out of fuel and children being put in harm's way. The video thumbnail shows AOC walking through a hallway while being interviewed by a reporter holding a microphone. βWould you like me to help you draft more QRTs based on these specific images or provide a deeper summary of the AOC video?
The United States is purposefully blockading Cuba from accessing fuel that powers everything from grocery stores to hospitals. People will die. Children will die. What's being done to the people of Cuba is monstrous.
The people in power were ok with it in Gaza and now they're doing it to Cuba.
Fuck ICE
When I'm ready to travel to the United States again, I look forward to going to Minneapolis.

The idea of replacing locally elected leaders of regional government with provincially appointed ones is insane. Bonkers. Appalling.
