This painting is called Molten Wings. It's part of a series I called Flow, which seems right for this week's #BlueSkyArtShow #Flowing theme
Three young girls stand ankle deep in a calm river at dusk towards the right. Ripples fan out from them. The near shore is muddy, but the far side is covered in reeds. A yellow pool donut with blue and red accents rests at the edge with two boogie boards and a log. Next to the log is a pair of shoes. In the reeds across the river, a heron is watching.
What's weird is that I'm pretty sure that same floatie is in the painting I just finished.

I found this piece again recently when I was looking for something else and realized that I hadn't taken a photo of it. It was a stylized self portrait from 20+ years ago.
Those are camellias, a very beautiful flower that looks similar to a rose. The colors can range from white to deep red, and they do not have thorns.
What program did you end up using? I know a photographer who was looking for similar software.

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.
There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us.

And that the real cost, adjusted for inflation, of a college education is the same now as decades ago, the difference is that now much more of that cost is placed on the individual student. Not counting for interest and fees from predatory lenders.
The Sum of Us by Heather McGhee makes the point that the dismantling of affordable college education directly coincides with greater numbers of people who were not white men accessing those resources.
