There are SO MANY dodgy breeders out there. We also get lots of “is this breeder okay?” and the answer is almost always “hell no! Run!”

Nah, Maine Coons don’t have nipples. That’s why they’re so expensive.

And it’s heightened with MCs, which can be very expensive. The question is really, “did I get an insanely good deal?” If you didn’t spend a fair bit and get breeding papers, there’s little to no chance you have a MC.

As a Maine Coon owner, I’m on the MC subreddit, and we get sooo much “is my cat a MC?” questions. Sadly, the answer is almost always, “cute, yes, but not a Maine Coon.”

Really though? Tried re-reading them a year or two ago and couldn’t get past the absolutely 2D characters and textbook Gary Stu protagonist. 😬

The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny. Such an underrated classic, and so clearly an inspiration for so much of what came after.
