Now in an issue. Trรถger's base derivatives are suitable chiral scaffolds to make CPL emitters by their functionalization with simple achiral fluorophores. Acid/base-driven CPL switching was also achieved.

We sadly lost Fraser during the revision of this work. His scientific insight, generosity, and encouragement were instrumental throughout this project. It was a privilege to work with him. We are deeply grateful.
New paper in Advanced Materials !

Thank you @antoinegoujon.bsky.social for giving me the opportunity to work on such exciting project! Letโs see what future holds for BACd polymers ๐
It is now online in @jacs.acspublications.org ! Congratulations to all authors and in particular @agapin.bsky.social and Elarbi Chatir for this long story that has been unfolding over 3 years. Read it here: doi.org/10.1021/jacs... @agencerecherche.bsky.social @erc.europa.eu @univangers.bsky.social

First post here: happy to share our latest preprint on the light-frozen dynamic covalent polymerization of BACDs: doi.org/10.26434/che.... Huge congrats to @agapin.bsky.social, Elarbi, and all collaborators! #PiSky 1/3
The French community of supramolecular chemists is very saddened by the passing of Sir Fraser Stoddart, whose legacy is extraordinary.
He's pictured here at the Supr@Lyon conference in 2018, an event that led to the creation of the Supr@SCF group.
Our condolences to the Familly.
If you are curious about photoresponsive foldamers and double helix formation, have a look at our last accepted paper in @ChemEurJ! We show that TPE can act as a photoacid and thus, trigger unfolding processes. Special congratulations to Louis Hardoin for his 1st 1st-author paper!

Me sitting next to Fraser with him typing something on his laptop sitting in front of him
Fraser wearing a Viking helmet and wielding an axe
Fraser smiling and giving two thumbs up
Fraser with his arms in the air and roaring in celebration when he found out he had hit 1,000 Twitter followers
Iโll miss gently berating him about how he could never organise files on his laptop and always had hundreds of files on his desktop. Fraser delivered my first chemistry lecture and the rest is historyโฆ I learned so much and owe him so much. RIP. chemistry.northwestern.edu/people/in-me... #Chemsky
Colleagues, Students, Postdocs, Collaborators and Friends of Sir Fraser Stoddart: I am writing with the sad news that Fraser passed away suddenly on 31 Dec (Australia time) while on holiday with family. No details yet on any services. He is irreplaceable.
It was an immense privilege to work with you, Fraser. You were an incredible mentor. Thank you deeply for everything you did for me. Rest in peace, Fraser.
I hope that the mirror-image cyclodextrin will win ! ๐ Fingers crossed !!! ๐ค๐ค๐ค
Hey @arthurhgdavid.bsky.social ! ๐ Do you think one of the molecules you worked on should be the molecule of the year? That would be awesome! โก๏ธ mirror-image cyclodextrin
@sebvidalchem.bsky.social and @msollogoub.bsky.social any preference ? ๐ I'm just asking... ๐
