What shocks me the most about this situation isn't that Trump declared war on Iran. What shocks me is that after Trump killed all the top Iranian officials, he then mentioned that, oops!, he'd also killed everyone we wanted to replace them. And the media hasn't done any goddamn follow up on that.
Thank you. That was a fun one to write.
Iβm selling signed copies of my short story collectionβTHE SECRETS OF INSECTS (which includes the Sandman Slim side story, Candy Among the Jades.) There are $50 and $100 tiers with extra perks for each (including a photo print). If youβre interested, send your questions to secretinsects@proton.me

You're absolutely right. Walter is nothing but a hungry maw gobbling everything in sight. He's pure need, pure Id and, in the end, kind of pathetic.
I particularly love murderous meth dealer Walter White stopping by for inspiration. If they could only have worked Patrick Bateman and Leatherface into the roster.

Good morning
A black and white photo of a bare tree just to the side of a street light. The illumination brightens the closest branches, while setting the others in darkness.
While waiting for a Lyft last night I noticed the tree's bent, almost wind swept branches set against a harsh street light. It's not my most exciting shot, but I like the mood.

Yes. I'd be curious to know who disproved it.
I had the LP when I was a kid and I agree, Karloff's voice is superb.
Since I've been posting about killers today, here's yet another intriguing theory about the Black Dahlia murder.

Tales of mystery and imagination by Edgar Allan Poe
Tales of the frightened by Michael Avallone
The color out of space and others by HP Lovecraft
The Time Machine by HG Wells
On this World Book Day, here are a few of the cheap drugstore rack paperbacks that got me interested in horror and SF. Sadly, I couldn't find the lurid monster cover for Tales of Mystery and Imagination, but that book was fundamental for me as a writer.

Happy Women in Horror Month. Thereβs a story that when one of Poppy Z. Briteβs (now William Joseph Martin) partners went through Customs with the manuscript of Exquisite Corpse, he was detained because one of the officers thought he might be a serial killer. That's the power Briteβs work.

Goodnight from the 400 bus to London, where Joan Gale is aware certain passengers seem to disappear without ever getting off. Goodnight from Charlie Merrick, worried he hasnβt done enough to prevent his sins from being recorded in the Bone Angelβs Book of Reckonings. Goodnight from Hookland.
Interesting. We'll probably never know for sure, which keeps the Zodiac alive.

Uh oh! The Punisher is woke!
The truth is that Noem is leaving to spend more time with family on her ranch and is looking forward to shooting more animals in the face.
Lionel Artom-Ginzburg just pointed me to an interesting new theory linking the Zodiac to the Black Dahlia murder

Peter the cat curled up in his cat bed. He is an orange and white, 12 year old cat and a very distinguished gentleman.
Another rainy day? Another day of snoozing in bed for Peter! πΊπ§οΈ
At 12 years old, Peter knows the best cure for a gloomy day is a cozy bed, a snuggle with a volunteer and some crunchy cat treats!
Come meet Peter at the animal shelter from 11am-6pm!
