Thank you! That's very kind of you. π
The standard of that open mic was unnervingly high!

She's incredible, right? Great tonight, but hearing her read in Cornwall last year was a proper highlight.
Thanks for the heads-up!
Half term duties on Friday, but keen to join another time!
The boxing poems are a particular high point. Great collection.

An otherwise bang average day (ill with a January bug) has just been given a wonderful lift.
Very happy to be in such great company here. Huge thanks to @iamb.uk and the efforts of @markantonyowen.com
There's not a lot to hold onto at the moment, but he seems like a genuinely decent bloke in a sea of unrelenting shite.
There's this, which does a very similar (though much more route one) kind of thing.

I think I heard you reading this the other day? Fantastic poem.
It caught my ear, in part, as there's a very similar turn of phrase in something of mine that I've recently gone back to.
I'm taking it as positive confirmation of word choice! ππ€£
Pretty much everyone I know who makes music or writes (published authors, musicians with solid back catalogues) have day jobs.
I can't help but wonder how much we've lost as a society by ensuring that our brightest creative minds spend most of their time swearing at spreadsheets.
Gutted to miss this - I'm an absolute bellend and thought it was next Sunday...
Tickets available now. More than 80 author talks and events including comedy, music, politics, literary fiction, nature, children's & family events... take a look at the website!
I think it might be the only thing that can legitimately be referred to as a "liminal space"

Life cracks on at a pace, and sometimes you don't have time to appreciate the good stuff.
Like the Black Bough Christmas Anthology, featuring around 80 poems, including one of mine!
It's an insanely good pounds-to-poem ratio, and means it's a gift that punches well above its weight. Link in bio.
Our bumper Christmas and winter anthology - check our bio for details! The perfect gift for the literary buff. Paperback under Β£10! Hardback also available and very posh!

Morning #PromptCombo -ers. When it grows up, #ThisPoem wants to be a poem by @racheljeffcoat.bsky.social, @jenferoze.bsky.social, Katrina Moinet, @benedictan.bsky.social or @moette.bsky.social. It's not fussy π

Yeah - I've been getting that a lot lately!
Yes! (I have all her books).
She writes in a way I could never, which is partly why I love her stuff I think. I love the way she reads too. She has flashes of absurdist stand-up brilliance, but with an incredible emotional sucker punch.
Lat night she was on fire - proper greatest hits gear!
Soho Poly Poetry - organised by Hannah Copely. Line up was Caroline Bird (whose poetry is wonderfully singular and funny and affecting), Will Harris (who I'd not read before - now on my must-buy list), and Joelle Taylor (who I'd not heard read before - live she's something else, just incredible).
Oh wow...
I mean... Christ. This is phenomenal.
Incredible timing, too. I'm on a train heading home after an incredible triple bill of poetry, having literally just put down Soi-mΓͺme to take a breather after being knocked sideways by "Brain as radula".
The whole pamphlet is a joy. As is this.
