He's fantastic!
Thank you!
All Hail Chaos Sarah Rees Brennan
The Feywild Job C. L. Polk
The Winged Game: A Novel Sophie Kim
Puck: A Novel Samantha Allen
Some books I'm hoping to get to soon -- ALL HAIL CHAOS by Sarah Rees Brennan, THE FEYWILD JOB by CL Polk, THE WINGED GAME by Sophie Kim, and PUCK by Samantha Allen. #ewgc
Love that cover!
Voted Most Likely to Murder Lacey Moone
VOTED MOST LIKELY TO MURDER by Lacey Moone is a fun mystery that will appeal to fans of Murder on Sex Island by Jo Firestone. It's a story about rising above fear you've failed, rediscovering your friends, and just how messy small town rivalries can be. Plenty of snark and very Canadian. #ewgc
Teddy Bears Never Die Cho Yeeun, Sung Ryu (Translated by)
TEDDY BEARS NEVER DIE by Cho Yeeun is both sweeter and darker than expected. A mass poisoning has long effects on the neighborhood, such as forcing teen Hwayoung out on the street. As adults betray her again and again, her only ally in vengeance is a teddy bear possessed by a classmate. #ewgc
Kill All Wizards Jedediah Berry
Apparently I was very into funny fantasy this past month... The narrator's voice in KILL ALL WIZARDS by Berry cracked me up, as some overly mannered high society person explains the story of a Conan-type barbarian's vengeful quest against the city's wizards. #ewgc #booksky
Oh, it's not my book. I'm just a librarian. :) But it's definitely an excellent one to pick up!
SO many people whose taste I respect loved Clarke's last novel!
This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me Ilona Andrews
I wasn't sure what to expect from Ilona Andrews' isekai novel, but THIS KINGDOM WILL NOT KILL ME was a fantastic ride that sets up an epic Game of Thrones style world whose cruelty is being upset by a superfan who wakes up in that world. I love that she sometimes saves the day by geeking out.π #ewgc
The Devil and Mrs. Gooch: A Novel Oliver Darkshire
Darkshire's THE DEVIL AND MRS GOOCH revisits the world of Isabella Nagg, taking evil businesswoman Gooch to the city for a scheme involving kidnapped hobs, predatory rental practices, and a lovestruck Devil. Complete with copious footnotes and marginalia from a set of Household Gramarye. π€© #ewgc
The Somewhat Wicked Witch of Brigandale C. M. Waggoner
Out next week, THE SOMEWHAT WICKED WITCH OF BIGANDALE by CM Waggoner is humorous fantasy done right with excellent footnotes and asides about storytelling tropes as it plays with fairy tales for a story about a witch trying to save her adopted son from kingship he's ill-suited for. #ewgc #booksky
A Murder Most Camp by Nicolas DiDomizio
Loved A MURDER MOST CAMP by Nicolas DiDomizio -- both the hilarious story of a too-rich heir forced to teach at a summer camp to get his inheritance and a sweet story of finding the people who truly see who your are. AND there's a murder mystery. #ewgc #booksky From @sbkslibrary.bsky.social

I got so into this series way back in college. :) I wonder how they'd land for me today? I've definitely enjoyed Shinn's newer novels.

Definitely adding it to the list then. π Thank you!
Does that mean I should read Pendemonium if I absolutely loved Doors of Eden? π
Thereβs a special joy youβll get for pledging to a funded project and seeing what pops up next! π #booksky
I canβt wait to see what everyone else thinks of it. π
(Iβm not even particularly a country music fan, though lyrics from the one country band I really listen to did help me connect to a few bits of the novel π )
Wreck Your Heart by Lori Rader-Day
Oh my gosh, this was totally wonderful. The characterβs voice is perfect. Dahlia is a prickly aspiring country singer in Chicago whoβs carved out her own pretty safe space and isnβt going to risk that for anything β then the mother who abandoned her vanishes and she finds a dead body. #booksky
Covers of 22 books
Statistics saying I read 22 books in February.

I loved Galeyβs last novel (A Market of Dreams and Destiny) so much β canβt wait to read this now!

Oof. Having the retired director go straight to the board seems rather like a conflict of interest situation. π
