For the most part, snow is cleared pretty quickly in Chicago. There are a few days a year that I don't ride though.

Indeed. It's a beast. Absolutely the best built bike I've ever had.
Newly released footage shows an ICE agent killing Rubin Ray Martinez, 23, in his car in Texas.
"He was shot at point-blank range through his side window by an ICE agent who was in no danger."

E bikes are great too!
It's a good kickstand.

Here's a photo without passengers.
That's very unfortunate. I'm sorry.
I have. It's quite unpleasant. Thankfully many cities have decent infrastructure that gets better every year. I live in Chicago. It's not perfect but it's pretty good nonetheless.
A golf cart might make sense for some people. I don't think they're allowed on the street in Chicago unfortunately.
Sure but most of the population lives in cities. If they can make some trips without a car, that's a good thing.
The bike was cheaper. π
That's what is made to carry! Workcycles Fr8 is a terrific bike!
What is very dangerous about riding a bike?
There are many Chicago suburbs that are bikable but i agree that in many places a car is the only modal choice people have. That's unfortunately true even in some American cities.
I've lived in the suburbs and exurbs and am keenly aware of the car dependence needed in those areas. For the tens of millions of people on cities, bikes might be an option.

I live in Chicago which is a great city for biking. We also have trains which allow us to take our bikes farther afield.
We've done that but I don't want to tempt people to make disparaging comments in the replies.
It sounds like this isn't for you, and that's okay. More people choosing different modes of transportation is good for everyone. If I can ride a bike to shop, that's one less car on the street taking space from people who need to use a car.
This one is regular power. But I agree, e bikes are also great!
I hear that. We had a person join us for our kids bike ride to the ballpark last fall who used a trike because they needed balance support. I can't recall if it was electric or not. I have seen some used non motorized trikes that were more affordable.
They're everywhere. All the time. Even in the small scraps of places that are supposed too be for pedestrians. :(
They're also great! For getting around the neighborhood, this one is perfect. It's very well built and goes like a dream, even when caring a big load.
In some places there are rules about carrying more passengers than a bike is designed for (this one is made to carry 3). I've never heard of a city that prohibits a child in an approved seat though. Where do you live?
That's a bummer that you don't feel safe cycling in your community. I spent some time in the suburbs without a car and it was challenging and scary sometimes.
I live in Chicago. Many cities are bikable. And many are becoming better every day. Even if it's a short trip,it's something.
