Oh, I've watched the entirety of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared like 10 years ago with my roommate who gave me 0 idea of what to expect, I love this even more now LOL
100%
My drive comes from the appreciation of the time, experience, and passion from other games. Seeing visions coming alive, experiencing them myself in my own way, etc.
It's others games that made me passionate about this in the first place, but yes I get lost in the sauce haha! Well said :)
You've really nailed the aesthetic. I would 100% believe this was an unused asset if I didn't see it here. Did you have to study specific aspects / have others documented how to achieve this aesthetic (certain limited color palette, etc)?
I love it. I remember playing Kanto with my dad and showed him you could evolve Ratata. He was so attached to his Ratata that he was so upset when his beloved little rat turned into Raticate that he stopped playing LOL
The road to hell is paved with rat lad evolution lmao
It's been awhile! I've been very inactive on everything creative / social, doing what @roamingowl.itch.io has referred to as "Recharging my Creative Battery" by taking more time to enjoy games / art other people have made. My pendulum swung too far in the other direction and Im finding a balance <3
Holy molly I didn't realize just how much of your first rodeo that visual novels aren't.
I want to say something more clever but can't lmao this is great! Inspiring for sure. Would love to try my hand if you do the ocean theme, let us know!
I've never made a VN but had an idea for one that's more.. spooky that involves the ocean π if you hosted it, would that be allowed?
Feels sooooo good right? Love it, keep at it!!!
It's really nice to let your creativity flow and manifest some emotions and thoughts in the meantime. This looks awesome and I love the name
Did you build this from scratch also?
I think it's great, low poly and stylized, you've got a knack for this! Great job c:
Your stuff gets better and better as I peruse your page. Style is great and love that you're giving love to my favorite engine!
Woah this looks incredible, like a mix of old school pokemon + stardew valley. Love it
This has all the whimsy of flash games but also a little hint of like homestuck. I really dig your stuff!
Found you through the #godot tag, love seeing work like this. We love new tracks
I've never heard of this series but I love your art. Propeller hats will never go out of style π
Through great difficulty, I've learned so much about life this year. So much I put off, but in 2025:
- I Created a game studio
- Made 9 games (published 6)
- Created 4 albums
- Hosted a charity game jam event with >100 people
- Made incredible friends here & on discord
Tell your wins, friends c:
Yeah these are all really good. You're got a lot of talent!
It's beautiful. It reminds me so much of the Pokemon Preview Sprites that appear in your party in Gen 1. I've always adored those. Are you using this in a game or is it just practice? I'd love to see what this turns into

Thank everyone for spreading the love, making games and joining us in our passion. We raised 300$ for #charity in this #gamejam. Seeing the success is the best birthday present!

It's a feature, not a bus
I'm glad you found it. You clearly have a "voice" in pixel art and I'm glad you get to be proud of it and share it. I have a similar feeling with game dev.
This aesthetic goes so hard, you have a real eye for this. Looking forward to seeing your success and what else you come up with
I wish I could "get bored" and make something of this quality c:
It looks great, anything special you're using in Godot with it, plugins, etc?
