anyway idk where this all came from, just having a lot of feelings lately I guess
But I hope that maybe if I find a place where I'm not constantly struggling to get by, feeling emotionally drained by a precarious financial position, that maybe I'll actually feel able to make art more often? Idk if that makes sense because it's not like I'd work less than I do at my current job.
This is something I've been grappling with for a while and going back to school for mechanical engineering design feels like the point i would finally fully accept it. It feels big and sad and scary.
I still want to make comics, but I've more or less accepted that comics will never pay my rent. Not because it's not possible, but because I don't think I personally could keep up with life as a freelance comic artist and be happy.
been thinking a lot about going back to school to become a CAD operator. I've learned so much about CAD in the last year just from teaching myself and working on projects. It would let me live a lot more comfortably than I do now. But I also worry if i do, I'll just never make art anymore?
I always manage to open social media on portfolio day despite only opening social media a couple times a month. Weird how ghag works.
