Haven’t been posting much on here, I’ve been absolutely locked in on my Cataphracts character in a game that is about 4 weeks in now.

Had to explain to my cousins at a family gathering on Saturday that the reason I was on my phone so much was because I was a Cardinal in conclave to try and choose our next Pontiff.

I have had more fun in the past month role playing, than I have playing any TTRPG ever in my life. My heart is full from the Light of Sol, and warmed by the love from my Constellation.

From being the bench coach of the church Gravball team, to being a co-founder of the holy guard (The Adherents of the Light That Burns), to role playing a full on Cardinal conclave to choose the church’s next Pontiff (complete with drama and full server sequestration)

For the past month, I have been role playing on a Discord server called #Over/Under and embodying a man named Artem who grew up from being a street kid in the slums of Prospero’s Dream to become one of 21 Cardinals of the Solarian Church. It has been an honor, and I’m glad I have been here for it.

It won’t, and my fellow Cardinals of the Solarian Church have made it a point to keep in touch, but wow, TTRPGs are an incredible thing, even if everything is done through text post on a Discord server.

I haven’t been this sad since my last band camp. It really does feel like I took a month off from the world at large and spent it creating stories and lives with people I’ve never met before, and now it feels like it’s all going to disappear.
