VICTORY: The court has ordered the release of our client Joel, a teenager with Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) status, who was unlawfully detained by ICE last month. β

While itβs a huge relief that Joel can finally go home, ICE should have never detained him in the first place.
Half of the doors in my apartment are upside down, so the doorknob is at biceps height instead of hip height. It was also a new discovery for me that this was possible.
One of my closet doors locks from the inside. It would be a cool panic room feature if it werenβt an overstuffed coat closet
At that point I was fully expecting a standup bit about flying
New Jersey is the best. (Watch for at least four minutes if you can.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKwQ...
I agree itβs good EXCEPT not announcing the winner and loser till the next episode sucks!
Have recently become aware that Project Runway is 1) back and 2) goodβ¦
Free app idea: in order to unlock your phone you have to tell it what you want to do and then it opens directly to the relevant app. Because I picked up my phone 5 minutes ago to check the time of an appt and have been scrolling Bluesky ever since. Still not sure what time the appt is.

Ooh - the last book I devoured was Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. Can you recommend something with a similar dreamlike vibe?

Found this helpful! It confirmed Mamdani as my 1st choice, but showed I should also look into Jessica Ramos and Michael Blake (the latter of whom I donβt know)
Also the illustrations are funny
Thanks for the photos and commentary! This was a great year to watch!
Wide angle photo taken from the foot of the Empire State Building looking up. In the foreground there are protestors marching and holding signs including one saying βHANDS OFF MAHMOUD KHALILβ
The volunteers at the end of the NYC march in Madison Square Park told us there were 100,000 protestors out in the streets today
the list just kept going! I didn't know there were this many guys.

Fascinating footwear choice, eh @randalltrang.bsky.social?
I love this idea
We really don't need to take for granted that the way things are is the way things inevitably have to be. People made the status quo, and we can un-make it.
Christianity in Late Antiquity. Fascinating to contemplate a time when Christian dogma was unformed and malleable, especially the role of women. Also I learned in that class that the name "Barbarians" came from Romans thinking Barbarian languages sounded like "barbarbar"

A black and white cat is curled up on a grey blanket on my belly. Sheβs sticking her arms out in front of her for some reason like she is bracing herself
Finally cold enough that she wants to cuddle again
Moo deng the Pygmy hippo is in the upper left (rizzler/normie) quadrant of this graph, neighbored by Stacey Abrams, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bernie, and Kamala

I love this!
