VICTORY: The court has ordered the release of our client Joel, a teenager with Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) status, who was unlawfully detained by ICE last month.
While it’s a huge relief that Joel can finally go home, ICE should have never detained him in the first place.
Half of the doors in my apartment are upside down, so the doorknob is at biceps height instead of hip height. It was also a new discovery for me that this was possible.
