Funny how God always agrees with whatever we happen to think in the moment.

Maybe so. I think the Left needs to get dirty, start doing things that ARE going to piss people off, rather than trying to please everybody and ending up doing nothing.

Generally, I avoid opining on social, cultural stuff. I’m generally skeptical that even more laws can “make” people not be assholes to each other.

Obviously I agree, but how do you convince a HUGE swath of the country not to do this?

I’ve lived in the South and there is NO WAY to convince some people that Armageddon is a Bad Thing.

The Good Guys: “Well, the guardrails of democracy were put into place back in 1794, that’s good enough.

I mean, what are the chances the ENTIRE Executive Branch, the Supreme Court AND 60% of the Congress would be insane and corrupt?”

The Bad Guys win because the Good Guys aren’t creative enough to anticipate what the Bad Guys will do, and sit on their asses thinking that what they’ve done is enough.

Even now, the Good Guys bitch and moan that they are powerless to do anything.

But hey, they like to post how sorry they are.

SO FREAKING DO IT ALREADY.

It’s been 10+ years of “Oooh, it’s coming, just wait…we got him!”

Yet, we can’t seem to get this out of office.

Are these “voucher” things just a blank check? What stores are accepting them as cash to buy toys? What kind of oversight are we talking, here? Should the taxpayers rejoice?

It’s not just us. The whole world is just stupid as hell.

People try to save a few bucks by getting some secondhand knockoff phone or pawned laptop that fell off a truck, and then complain that nothing works properly and can’t connect.

And, of course, it’s always someone else’s fault or a conspiracy against them.

Make up your minds, conservatives.

Either we are dumb animals (evolution) that is just here to feed and breed (hence your anger at birth control, LGBTQ, etc), or we are able to transcend indiscriminate animalistic breeding via decisions and choice.

The more these Righteous Moral Crusaders bleat and condemn others for just living their lives, the more we need to be checking their hard drives and nanny cams…

Seeing daily stories about MAGAs and J6ers being sentenced for violent crimes and sexual offenses.

Something so deeply broken in these people. Chronically incapable of behaving ethically, morally and legally in society.

Little wonder they project SO hard about others. They know what’s inside them.

Do your taxes in Roman numerals.

Even the most vile criminal believes himself to be on the side of Good, and will honestly defend his actions and beliefs as unfairly targeted.

Trump and all the MAGA truly believe they will be vindicated as heroes by history and eagerly accept the public scorn as righteous martyrdom/confirmation.

It’s not because the GOP is so good, it’s because the damage to Dems is almost always self-inflicted

I’ve never really understood the phrase “conflict of interest”.

Making energy policy about oil reserves when you own stock in a company that directly profits from the price of oil seems like complete harmony of interest, to me.

These people don’t seem particularly conflicted.

This tells me that there are too many small fish nibbling at the apple, and not many in the Dems who is really taking control of the character of the party.

The GOP does consolidate very well, without competing against itself as much. Unified vision/consistency. They KNOW who the next candidate is.

Haven’t heard one word about what happens to those $100m planes or all the money Noem embezzled, so I presume they’ll just be nice parting gifts for a job well done.

Noem and Bondi are just two more of the never ending parade of bubbleheads stamped out of the same Mar-A-Lago clone factory who get installed into positions of power to grift as much as they can and treat public service as their Instagram promotional profile.

People scoff at me for “not understanding” how “things work”.

Oh, all too well.

And being an ethical, sensible, effective and efficient leader isn’t as difficult as people excuse it to be.

I feel like the only uncompromisingly competent person left in the nation. Every job I’ve had had a corrupt, clique-y, incompetent administration. Every “leader” I’ve seen over the decades is eventually outed as a corrupt buffoon. And because I don’t kiss ass, I’ve never ascended to any power.
