Apologies for the radio silence on here. This week, Iβve been getting into the nitty gritty of the new job, had an interesting day at the N.Yorks DSL conference and received this prestigious award:
Thank you! Itβs been really nice. Hope youβve had a good start to the year
An infographic detailing the timeline of Ofsted's proposed inspection reforms, from now until the launch of report cards and a new inspection framework in September 2025
Ofsted has proposed major changes to inspection in response to its Big Listen today β from a rebuilt framework to a new focus on inclusion.
β±οΈ Our graphic below details a timeline of the reforms, and you can read more about them here: www.tes.com/magazine/new...
While Iβve been immersed in the new school, Iβve missed the further updates about #Ofsted today - just catching up now and I canβt describe how even just small changes are going to make such a difference to mental health. Thank you Bridget.
Day 2 β
- Great to meet lots of the children - learnt a few names but still so many more to go!!
- Nice chats with parents on the gate
- Lovely being around Reception as they arrived for their first day!
- Quite a few jobs ticked off the list
- Delivered a mediocre assembly π Better luck next time!
Glad it went well - hope Day 2 was just as positive!
Day 1 done β
- Delivered Safeguarding training
- Organised βwelcome backβ lunch
- Chatted to lovely new colleagues
- Added even more questions and decisions to make to my list!
Lots to learn and lots to think about but a very enjoyable start to my new role βΊοΈ

So I told them.
And now, years later, still nobody has asked me.
So here it is again

Office set up today and training day planned. Less than a week to go until I officially start the new role. I thought Iβd be nervous but at the moment Iβm just really excited!
That is very true, a good way of looking at it! Predominantly Mario on my old DS, Gameboy Colour and hoping to get the N64 working before the end of the summer if I can. How about you, are you into gaming at all?
If you see this, post a photo you made of a sunset
The scrapbooks are lovely! Iβm very much a hobby flitter - will do something for a while but then move onto a new thing. Been the case for knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, guitar, running, old-school computer gamesβ¦ Have generally stuck with brass banding and reading though!
I now have the keys to the new school - all starting to feel a bit real!!
Thank you! βΊοΈ
Hereβs Ralph! Never happier than when heβs got a ball to chase
Iβm a primary Headteacher moving from a Bradford school to a North Yorkshire one this summer. In fact, collecting the keys to the new place tomorrow! All changeβ¦ #EduSky
Thought Iβd give Bluesky a try in the hope of finding something closer to how Edutwitter used to be! π€π»
