Shadow, Silver and Sonic with updated designs for their hoglet clones. They have longer hoglet legs rather than the rounder hamster ones, more rounded spikes on their backs, among other smaller changes.

Was inspired by how @hinadraws1.bsky.social drew the hoglets in her art for them, so now that they're part of her Engineer Maria AU, I redesigned them! So now they're more like proper hoglets rather than the hamster designs I've been drawing.

Also a bonus, got done doing a little Shadow The Hoglet drawing to show how easy it is to draw him. It took 9 minutes.

Also with how he is drawn, I usually draw his "closed eyes, big open smile" expression on a separate layer. Easy to switch between the hoglet's two faces.

My favorite space girl!!! She came out so cute 🥰 I love how you colored this one!

A trick I usually do to get a lighted color effect is copying the drawing layer, filling every aspect, including the lines, with a color and turning it into a transparent effect. And I just turn that into a clipping mask to avoid the trouble of erasing outside the lines.

Its fun mixing that poppy line art style with more painted features. For Maria's moon costume, I had to do some trial and error processing to find the right brush for the moon craters, and one where I can easily draw a crater shaped like Zombie Maria's heart-shaped blood stain.

Drawing Shadow the Hoglet is a quick process, with the simple designs and no rocket shoes. Though they are still tiny little guys, so I had to use a smaller brush size to make it easy to draw them among the giants.
