A good deed done for the wrong reason is easily corrupted. If you act honourably expecting rewards, you act out of selfish motives and the deed is tarnished. If you become irate at the lack of "gratitude," you're a bandit. That's the point of honour. Ppl can offer rewards, but it's their choice.

A person was confused that I acted honourably and did not ask "things" in return. I'll try phrasing it in dnd form. If you take a contract to help a village, expect gold, it's a job and an honourable one. If you help someone out of kindness, they CAN reward you, but honour should be enough. /1

Very much enjoyed the 20 seconds of dnd combat where my pc had acid blown up on him, was impaled repeatedly, healed, did a cool pose with a dark lord, was immediately tentacle wrapped and swallowed, cut out and thrown back to find a giant eyeball overhead. I've really missed being a tank 😄
