It's astounding how much COβ we put into the atmosphere each year by burning fossil fuels.
For comparison, we all agree that plastic pollution is bad, but the mass of ALL THE PLASTIC humanity has ever produced is only 25% of the COβ we emitted into the atmosphere in 2025.

Climate Models Canβt Explain Whatβs Happening to Earth
Global warming is moving faster than the best models can keep a handle on.
Hi pals. Today I wrote about the unsettling mismatches between what climate models say should be happening and what is actually happening. We're pushing the Earth past the limits of our physical understanding. This is a gift link: www.theatlantic.com/science/arch...

Donald Trump didnβt win by a historic landslide. Itβs time to nip that lie in the bud | Mehdi Hasan
In 2024, we have a new post-election lie β Trump didnβt just win, Republicans say, but he won big. He won a landslide. Thatβs false
"Trump won the crucial blue wall states... by 231,000 votes? So if just 116,000 voters across those three swing states β or 0.7% of the total β had switched from Trump to Harris, it is the vice-president who would have won the electoral college β¦ and the presidency" - me for the Guardian:

If Iβm ever in doubt about whether working on fossil fuel advertising & PR is really climate action, I just need to read a story like this about the PR firms allegedly helping Exxon hack climate activists and I am reassured Iβm doing the right thing.

For the working class and marginalized communities, it's a matter of life or death.

What the Canadian intellectual gets right about young men
A great review from the @economist.com of Jordan Peterson's new book.

I sympathise with those who genuinely believe this will be disastrous for them and always support the right to protest. However, it's either a case of misguidance or personal greed β similar to Brexit. What baffles me is that some people can't learn from past mistakes and fall into the same trap.
